In 1848, the Omega company started as an assembly workshop setup by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-De-Fonds, Switzerland. Louis' two sons took over the family business in 1879. By 1905, Omega timepieces were the “go-to” timekeeper for numerous sporting events in Switzerland. Their watches have been used by NASA and the Olympic Games throughout history. The Omega brand is best known for the high-quality movement of their watches which provides precision and accuracy with the timing.
